The anti-corrosion principle of organosilicon involves the dual mysteries of chemistry and physics. From a chemical perspective, the silicon-oxygen bond (-Si-O-Si-) has a high bond energy and strong stability, which can effectively resist the erosion of chemical substances. When organosilicon coatings are applied to the surface of an object, the silicon-oxygen bonds in the molecules react chemically with the hydroxyl groups on the metal surface, forming a strong chemical bond. This chemical bond can prevent the metal from reacting chemically with corrosive media outside, thereby inhibiting the occurrence of electrochemical corrosion. For example, when organosilicon coatings are applied to the surface of steel, the silicon-oxygen bonds combine with the hydroxyl groups on the steel surface, forming a chemical bond that acts like a solid defense line, preventing oxygen, water, and other corrosive media from contacting the steel and preventing rusting. 
From a physical perspective, after the organosilicon coating cures, it forms a dense protective film. Its low surface energy characteristic makes it difficult for corrosive media such as water and oil to spread and penetrate on the coating surface. Just like the microscopic structure of lotus leaves, water droplets can only roll on it and cannot adhere. The organosilicon coating, with this characteristic, effectively isolates external moisture, oxygen, and various corrosive chemical substances, reducing their contact probability with the protected material, and thus achieving anti-corrosion effects. In addition, the organic groups in the organosilicon molecules can also give the coating certain flexibility and wear resistance, enhancing the integrity and durability of the protective film, allowing it to continue to exert anti-corrosion effects in complex environments.
