Ethyl silicone oil: The core component of efficient release agents

Hits: 497 img

With its low surface tension and chemical inertness, ethyl silicone oil has become an ideal raw material in the field of release agents. The ethyl groups in its molecular structure give the material a moderate polarity, enabling it to form stable adhesion with the mold surface and maintain interface isolation with most molding materials, achieving efficient release.
In plastic processing, ethyl silicone oil release agents perform exceptionally well. For polar resins such as polyvinyl chloride and ABS, it can avoid the migration problem of traditional release agents and ensure the glossiness of the product surface. When used in the production of complex structural plastic parts, its good spreading property can cover the fine textures of the mold, reduce release defects, and increase the qualification rate by more than 15%.
It is also widely used in rubber vulcanization molding. It can withstand a vulcanization temperature of 180℃, and in the production of tires and seals, it will not react chemically with rubber, and can reduce the peel resistance after vulcanization, increasing the mold turnover efficiency by 30%. Moreover, the residual amount is extremely low, and it does not affect the subsequent bonding process.
In precision casting, the release agent made by blending ethyl silicone oil with solvents can form a uniform film on the sand mold surface, solving the problem of mold sticking after metal liquid casting. Especially suitable for the production of complex castings in the aerospace field, it can reduce surface damage of the castings and lower the grinding cost.
