Non-foaming defoamer - The "invisible terminator" of foam

Hits: 359 img

In industrial production and daily scenarios, foams often pose hidden problems: foam overflow during chemical reactions leads to waste of raw materials; foam affects the taste of food products during processing; foam accumulation during cleaning reduces efficiency. Unlike common defoamers that "first form foam and then eliminate it", non-foaming defoamers, with the advantage of "preventing foam from forming at the source and leaving no residue throughout the process", have become the preferred additives in many fields.
Non-foaming defoamers are a type of additives with a special molecular structure design that possess both foaming inhibition and defoaming functions. The core feature is that they do not produce foam themselves, but can quickly break the foams that have already formed in the system. Their working principle is to reduce the surface tension of the liquid, penetrate the foam liquid film and disrupt its stability, causing the bubbles to collapse rapidly, while inhibiting the activity of the foaming substances, thereby reducing foam generation at the source and avoiding the "secondary foaming" problem that may occur with ordinary defoamers.
Compared with traditional defoamers, non-foaming defoamers have better compatibility and can be adapted to various systems such as water-based and oil-based ones. Most of them do not contain harmful components like APEO, are environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and odorless. They can be applied in fields with high safety requirements such as food and medicine. They are widely present in our daily lives. They can be found in the emulsification during cake production, the degreasing in metal cleaning, and the preparation of oral sprays. They silently solve the problem of foam and safeguard production efficiency and product quality.
