IOTA 3000 is a high-performance leveling agent based on polyether-modified organosilicone polymers, specifically designed to enhance the surface properties of coatings and inks. As an organic silicone surface additive, its core function lies in significantly reducing the surface tension of the system (up to 22.7 mN/m), thereby effectively improving the wetting property of the substrate, preventing defects such as pinholes and fish eyes, and promoting the leveling of the paint film, achieving better gloss and smooth appearance.
This product is a colorless to light amber liquid, with 100% active ingredients. It has multiple functionalities: it not only improves leveling and gloss enhancement, but also gives the coating excellent surface smoothness, scratch resistance, and anti-sticking properties, effectively suppressing Benard vortices and ensuring the uniformity of the coating. Its outstanding compatibility enables it to be widely used in solvent-based, non-solvent-based, and water-based systems, achieving multi-system compatibility.
In practical applications, IOTA 3000 demonstrates excellent adaptability. In water-based systems (such as latex paints, water-based inks), the recommended addition amount is 0.3% to 1.0% of the total formula; in oil-based systems, only 0.05% to 0.5% is required to achieve significant effects; in non-solvent-based systems, the recommended dosage is 0.3% to 1.0%. It is a multi-effect combined additive that enhances the surface quality and processing performance of the coating through wetting, dispersion, and lubrication.
