Water-based silicone resin2.0

Introducing silicone into traditional polymer emulsions can enhance its aging resistance, waterproofing, high and low temperature resistance, hardening and other properties. By introducing silicone links into the molecular chain of the polymer during the emulsion polymerization process, the commonly used silicone precursors are silane coupling agents, such as silane coupling agents 171, 560, 570, etc. These silane coupling agents all have a trifunctional alkoxy structure. In the aqueous system, the alkoxy group is hydrolyzed into hydroxyl groups, and the hydroxyl groups are further dehydrated and condensed to form a cross-linked structure. When the degree of cross-linking is too large, it will affect the stability of the emulsion. Causes gelation and cannot be used, so there are certain restrictions on the dosage of silane coupling agent. Generally, the dosage is 1~10%. If the dosage is too small, the modification effect will not be obvious. If the dosage is too large, it will affect the stability of the emulsion. Dosage The limitation determines that the effect of silicon modification is limited or even not obvious.
