Acrylate silicone oil is a type of polyorganosiloxane compound with acrylate groups as the termini or side chains. Due to its unique molecular structure, it exhibits outstanding performance in multiple fields.
In the coatings industry, acrylic silicone oil is regarded as a "performance enhancer". Taking IOTA 2240 as an example, its acrylic groups can cross-link with UV resin systems, introducing organic silicone components onto the surface of the paint film, significantly enhancing weather resistance, stain resistance and low-temperature resistance. The building coatings modified by it can maintain bright colors even after long-term exposure to sunlight and rain, and dirt and stains can be wiped clean easily, greatly reducing maintenance costs.
The cosmetics industry also benefits greatly from the assistance of acrylic silicone oil. IOTA 2240 can form breathable and water-resistant films in products such as creams and sunscreens, locking in moisture and preventing dryness, while also giving the products a smooth skin feel. In shampoos, it can enhance softness and shine, reduce frizziness, and leave no residue.
In the printing ink industry, acrylic silicone oil can enhance resistance to scratching, graffiti prevention capabilities, increase smoothness and assist in defoaming. Adding 0.1% to 1.5% of this substance to flat printing inks can significantly improve the quality of printed products.
Acrylic silicone oil, due to its excellent weather resistance, wetting property, leveling property and biocompatibility, has become a key raw material in the fields of coatings, cosmetics and inks, continuously driving technological innovation and product upgrading in these areas.
