What is phenyl elastic putty?

Hits: 542 img

Phenyl elastic putty is a special polymer compound miscible with properties between solid and liquid, playing a key role in many fields.
It is mainly based on organic polysiloxane as the matrix material, which gives phenyl elastic putty excellent physical and chemical properties. In the wide temperature range of -80℃ to 250℃, its various properties remain stable and can adapt to a variety of extreme environments. At the same time, phenyl elastic putty has significant hysteresis characteristics when subjected to tension and compression deformation, and can effectively store and dissipate mechanical energy. This characteristic makes it widely used in shock absorption, noise reduction and other fields.
When preparing phenyl elastic putty, the matrix material is usually mixed with fillers, heat stabilizers, compression agents, flame retardants, etc. Among them, the choice of fillers is diverse, such as precipitated silica, fumed silica, calcium carbonate, metal powder, graphite powder, etc. Different fillers can change the microstructure of the putty composite system, and then adjust its macroscopic physical properties to meet the use needs of different scenarios. For example, adding white carbon black can improve the viscoelastic properties of phenyl silicone rubber, increase the storage modulus, loss modulus and complex viscosity, and make the modulus and viscosity more stable with temperature changes.
In practical applications, phenyl elastic clay is often used to make elastic clay buffers. This buffer has the advantages of large capacity, small impedance, high absorption rate, smooth buffer impedance curve, small size, light weight, and long maintenance cycle. It is widely used in aerospace, high-speed rail, tanks, nuclear submarines, ships, aircraft, bridges, metallurgy, mining, offshore platforms and other industries, providing reliable buffering and shock absorption for related equipment.
