Silicone oil emulsion mold release agent is an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion preparation with polysiloxane (silicone oil) as the main active ingredient, which is widely used in industrial production. Its core principle is to form a uniform, stable and highly lubricating isolation film on the mold surface. This film can significantly reduce the adhesion between the product and the mold, thereby achieving efficient and non-destructive demolding.
In industrial fields such as plastics, rubber, metal die-casting, and polyurethane foam, silicone oil emulsion mold release agents perform well. In the plastic molding process, it can easily separate plastic products from the mold, effectively reducing the risk of adhesion and damage; in rubber production, it can ensure that the edges of rubber products are neat and free of flash; when used in metal die-casting, it can allow metal parts to be demolded smoothly and improve production efficiency.
Modified silicone oils, such as long-chain alkyl and aralkyl, can further enhance demolding durability and high temperature resistance. Under high temperature conditions, ordinary silicone oil emulsions may experience performance degradation, but modified silicone oil emulsions can remain stable and continue to play a demolding role. In addition, the isolation film formed by the silicone oil emulsion release agent can also reduce mold wear and corrosion and extend the service life of the mold.
From an environmental protection perspective, water-based emulsions do not contain organic solvents and have no fire risk, which meets current environmental protection requirements. In actual use, the appropriate dilution ratio and coating method can be selected according to different scenarios. Spraying with a spray gun, wiping with cotton cloth or dipping can all be used. It is easy to operate and can meet diverse production needs.
