The waterproof principle is based on the hydrophobicity of silicone molecules. The silicon-oxygen bond reacts chemically with the hydroxyl groups on the surface of the substrate to form a strong bond. The organic groups are arranged outward, making the surface present low surface energy. Rainwater is difficult to adhere to the surface and rolls off quickly, thus achieving the purpose of waterproofing.
